Professor Mark Johnson is a highly distinguished obstetrician with over 30 years of experience, specialising in high-risk pregnancies and maternal-fetal medicine.
About Mark
Professor Mark Johnson currently holds senior positions as Clinical Chair in Obstetrics at Imperial College London and Consultant Obstetrician and Head of R&D at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital.

Mark founded Borne, in 2013, a charity established to support translational research that advances our understanding of pregnancy and identifies solutions to prevent or delay the onset of preterm labour. It became an independent medical research charity in 2016.
A founding member of Nurture, Professor Johnson combines his extensive clinical experience with a passion for advancing maternal health through innovative research and care.

Dually accredited
Clinically, Mark initially trained in general medicine, endocrinology, and diabetes, specialising in reproductive endocrinology.
Mark went on to establish the successful IVF unit at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital and became the only dually accredited Consultant in General Medicine and Obstetrics and Gynaecology in the UKIn 2010, Mark was also appointed Professor in Clinical Obstetrics at Imperial College. -
Mark's work today
Mark remains deeply committed to mentoring the next generation of doctors and advancing research in maternal and fetal medicine.
His advocacy for improving maternal care through nutritional interventions is further demonstrated by his involvement in global health initiatives, including collaborations with the World Health Organisation (WHO) and UNICEF. -
